SUNSYNK WARRANTY POLICY
Version 2.0 – Consolidated Summary for UK & Ireland
1. Scope of Warranty
This warranty covers Sunsynk inverters and battery products sold through authorised Sunsynk distributors or retailers. The policy applies to products installed and operated in accordance with Sunsynk’s official installation manuals and safety standards. This warranty does not serve as a performance guarantee but covers manufacturing defects and workmanship under normal operating conditions.
2. Contracting Parties
The warranty applies to the original purchaser or end user of Sunsynk products when purchased from authorised Sunsynk partners. If the product is resold or transferred, the warranty remains valid only if proper proof of purchase and installation documents are provided.
3. Warranty Period
Standard Warranty: All Sunsynk inverters and batteries are covered by a standard 5-year warranty from the date of installation or a maximum of 65 months from the manufacturing date, whichever occurs first.
Extended Warranty: When a Sunsynk inverter is installed together with a Sunsynk battery, the warranty period is automatically extended to 10 years. Additional paid warranty extensions may be available via authorised Sunsynk partners and must be purchased within 36 months of installation.
4. Registration Requirements
To activate and maintain warranty coverage, each product must be registered on the Sunsynk Portal within six months of installation. Required information includes product model and serial number, installation date and location, installer name and company details, and proof of purchase. Failure to register within this timeframe may limit the warranty to the base 5-year coverage.
5. Claim Eligibility and Procedure
Warranty claims can only be submitted by the original installer or an authorised Sunsynk service partner. In case the installer is no longer in operation, the end user may contact Sunsynk directly to appoint a certified local installer at their own cost.
Procedure for submitting a claim:
-
Provide serial number, installation date, fault description, and photos or videos if applicable.
-
A Sunsynk RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) form will be issued.
-
Upon validation, Sunsynk may repair the product on-site, replace it with an equivalent model, or issue a refurbished unit of similar performance.
The defective unit must be returned within 30 days of receiving the replacement.
6. Exclusions and Limitations
This warranty does not cover improper installation, misuse, or unauthorised modification, external damage, corrosion, or force majeure events such as fire, flood, or lightning. It also excludes damage caused by incompatible third-party devices, transport damage, or cosmetic wear that does not affect functionality. If the returned product is found to be fault-free or excluded under these terms, inspection and shipping fees may apply.
7. Service and Replacement Terms
Sunsynk reserves the right to provide a replacement unit that may differ in model, colour, or specifications but offers equal or superior performance. Repaired or replaced products continue under the remaining period of the original warranty; no new warranty period begins.
8. Limitation of Liability
Sunsynk’s liability is strictly limited to the repair or replacement of defective equipment. Sunsynk shall not be responsible for indirect, consequential, or financial losses, including loss of revenue or energy generation during downtime.
9. Legal Rights
This warranty operates alongside statutory consumer rights under applicable UK law and does not limit or exclude such rights. Customers may have additional protections under national legislation beyond this Sunsynk policy.
