Collection: Three-Phase Hybrid Inverters
Three-Phase Hybrid Inverters include hybrid inverter solutions designed for three-phase electrical systems commonly used in larger residential, commercial, and light industrial installations. This collection focuses on inverter models that combine solar input, battery storage integration, and grid interaction within a single unit.
The range is intended for solar PV systems where higher power capacity, balanced phase distribution, and advanced energy management are required. Three-phase hybrid inverters support integration with compatible lithium battery systems and may operate in on-grid, off-grid, or hybrid modes depending on the specific model and system configuration.
All products are supplied by established manufacturers and are intended for integration with compatible solar panels, battery storage systems, and three-phase electrical installations.

Frequently Asked Questions: Three-Phase Hybrid Inverters
What is a three-phase hybrid inverter?
A three-phase hybrid inverter is an advanced energy management system designed for properties connected to a three-phase electrical grid. Unlike standard single-phase systems, three-phase power supplies electrical energy across three alternating currents, allowing for much higher power loads and smoother, balanced phase distribution. A hybrid three-phase inverter manages three things simultaneously: it converts DC electricity from your solar panels into AC power, charges and discharges your battery storage system, and interacts seamlessly with the National Grid.
How do I know if I need a single-phase or three-phase inverter?
It entirely depends on your property’s electrical supply.
- Most standard UK homes use a single-phase connection.
- Larger domestic properties, farms, commercial buildings, and light industrial units usually have a three-phase connection to support high-drain equipment (like heavy machinery, multiple EV chargers, or large heat pumps).
If your property has a three-phase meter and you want to install a high-capacity renewable energy system, you must use a three-phase inverter to ensure the power is distributed evenly and safely across all phases.
What size three-phase inverter is right for my installation?
We supply a premium range of Sunsynk three-phase inverters to suit various project scales. Choosing the right size depends on your solar panel array capacity and your site's energy demands:
Inverter SizeBest Suited For8.0kW – 12.0kWLarge residential homes, small agricultural buildings, and light commercial setups with moderate battery storage needs.25.0kW – 30.0kWMedium-to-large commercial buildings, farms, and properties requiring high-voltage battery banks to offset significant energy bills.50.0kWIndustrial applications and heavy commercial sites with massive solar arrays and high continuous power demands.
Do these inverters support high-voltage battery storage?
Yes. While our smaller three-phase units (8kW to 12kW) typically work with standard 48V low-voltage lithium batteries, our larger commercial units (25kW, 30kW, and 50kW Sunsynk models) are specifically designed to integrate with High Voltage (HV) battery systems. HV batteries are far more efficient for commercial setups, as they allow for faster charging and discharging rates with less heat loss, maximizing the return on your solar PV investment.
Can a three-phase hybrid inverter run completely off-grid or provide backup power?
Absolutely. Depending on your system configuration, these inverters are capable of operating in on-grid, off-grid, or hybrid modes. In the event of a localized power cut, built-in backup functionality allows the inverter to safely island your property from the grid. It will then pull stored energy from your compatible lithium battery system and active solar panels to keep critical three-phase equipment running without interruption.
Are these inverters compatible with all solar panels?
Yes, our three-phase hybrid inverters are supplied by established manufacturers and are engineered to work with all standard tier-one solar panels, including rigid, flexible, and bifacial models. Due to their multiple MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) inputs, these large inverters can handle massive solar arrays spread across different roof orientations, optimizing energy yield throughout the day.
